Scope Creep Reply to a Client

Write the reply when a client asks for work that is outside the agreement. I want to stay easy to work with and not do the work for free. Acknowledge the request in one line. Say it is not in the current scope, without a lecture. Offer two paths: a change order with price and a new date, or a smaller version that fits the remaining time if one honestly exists: [SMALLER VERSION OR "none"]. 2) The change-order paragraph they can reply "yes" to, with the new total and the moved date. 3) A one-line version if this happens in a meeting. 4) What I should not say (apology for having a scope, a discount that trains the next ask, an insult). If their ask is actually in scope and I am wrong, say that instead of defending me.
